My Completed Drawstring Purse

Well this was definitley my prototype! Lots of little mistakes but at least I will know for next time what to do differently. I used Stampin UP ribbon instead of fabric for my drawsting. I love it. The inside is a pink fleece as the lining and the fabric on the outside is Birdie by Me and My Sisters. So don't look too closely for my mistakes, but I do hope you like my purse. As I will be using it. :)
Thanks for stopping by.

USES:
This herbal heat pack is made of soft 100% cotton,
and can be used for Hot Therapy (microwave it),
or Cold Therapy (freeze it).

The soothing moist heat it produces will provide
relief for:
Back pain, lower back, hip pain, restless leg syndrome,
sport injuries, ideal for massage therapy use,
afterbirth uterine contractions, menstrual pain,
Fibromyalgia pain, RA and Lupus symptoms, arthritic cramping, the list is endless....

All ingredients that I use are Organic
pesticide and chemical free!

WHY USE FLAXSEED AS A FILLER?

The actual seed of flax contains 30 – 40% of an oil
known Flaxseed Oil. This oil remains inside the seed.
When the seeds are heated, the soft shell of the seed
allows for moisture to be absorbed. As the seeds cool,
a moist heat is released. Flaxseeds unique thermal and
oil content allow for it to heat quickly and retain heat
for 30 -45 min, making it an ideal natural heating product.
Flaxseed offers a moist therapy relief.

WHY FLAXSEED AND NOT OTHER FILLERS, SUCH AS RICE?

Flaxseed will not crack, weighs less than rice and
adjusts comfortably to the contours of the body.
Cheaper fillers such as rice, tend to clump and will
lose their ability to retain water after repeated use.
If they dry out, they are more likely to become scorched.
Rice tends to have a ‘cooked food odor’.
Although flaxseed is more expensive,
I believe it to be the best product to use for all my
Hot and Cold Therapy Wraps/Packs.

ONLY $15.95 plus shipping. Email to make your purchase.
Shipping will take up to one week.

I made this rag quilt purse for my sister in law. Just finished it today. I used a combination of Moda Fabrics with fleece to make it look cozy yet strudy. I love so much I would like to keep it for myself but I can't. This shows the front and back side. The inside of the purse is all cream colored fleece. Well, have a good weekend and hope u leave me comments.

Matching Coffee Cozie

I made a coordinating coffee cozie for my heating pillow. If you not familiar with heating pillows all you do is heat them in the microwave for 2-3 mintues and it will stay warm for over an hour! Or put it in your freezer for instant ice pack.
I have a few coffee cozies that are slightly imperfect meaning one may fit a 12oz cup instead of a 16 oz, not a one size fits all. So I will be selling my imperfect ones for only $2.50!! I have two of the one shown above and three of the ones shown in this previous post. Please email me if your interested in purchasing them.
Of course if you want a Perfect Coffee Cozie you can purchase them for only $5.00.

My finished Heating Pillow

I'm so excited I finished my Rag Style Heating pillow and a drawstring bag to put it in. I used the Snowman fleece and coordinating red flanne to create my finished product measuring 8x20. I'm off to make some more while I have the time. Enjoy!

Handmade Heating Pillows

Next on my sewing agenda...... Handmade Heat Pillows! I bought the fabric today and will hopefully make them this weekend. I'm trying to convince my husband to buy me a sewing machine for Christmas but he thinks this is just a phase I'm in and won't ever use it again.
I WANT A SEWING MACHINE! If he doesn't buy me one I will. lol :) Sew :) you can guess what everyone is getting for Christmas right??? A rag quilt purse, coffee cozie and heat pillows....
Stay tuned for pictures this weekend.
